Blackberry

Blackberry (Rubus Fruticosus) is a perennial, particularly rough, woody shrub that reaches up to 2-3 meters, with highly variable form and foliage. The plant is very widespread in Europe mainly because of its edible fruits, the well-known blueberries. Drinking blackberry tea can help stimulate the production of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food more efficiently.
A useful part of the plant in herbal medicine is its leaves, which are used to treat disorders of the gastrointestinal system, as it is considered an excellent alternative medicine for dysentery, diarrhea, hemorrhoids and cystitis. The tannins contained in the herb have been found to effectively contribute to the treatment of any form of diarrhea. It is also considered particularly effective in cases of oral infections and is often used for mouth washes.
The daily recommended dose is 2 - 5 gr in cases of severe diarrhea. Prolonged use of the herb for more than 3-4 days is not recommended.
