Bourbon Geranium

Geranium Bourbon essential oil has an earthy, fresh floral scent with strong notes of rose. It has significant anti-inflammatory properties due to its two main components which are citronellol and geraniol and is used in aromatherapy to reduce stress, balance hormones and as a pain reliever.

In addition, it is used dissolved in a base oil or flower water as a cleaner - deodorant, both for personal hygiene, showing important antibacterial and antifungal properties, and for perfuming spaces.

On a psychological level, its aroma works as an anti-depressant, promotes optimism and relieves tension and anxiety. Blends well with basil, bergamot, jasmine, lavender, sandalwood, patchouli and rose.

Pelargonium roseum belongs to the genus Pelargonium, of the Geraniaceae family. It comes from southern Africa and is a shrub native to Madagascar. This is a rose-scented variety, very important in the perfumery industry. It is cultivated on a large scale and its leaves are distilled for their aroma.
