Centella (Centella asiatica), is a small, herbaceous, perennial plant of the Apiaceae family, native to the tropical regions of Africa, Asia, Australia and the islands of the western Pacific Ocean. Its leaves are consumed as a culinary vegetable and used in traditional medicine.
