Olivem 1000

Olivem 1000 is a natural, non-ionic, non-ethoxylated, multifunctional emulsifier, derived from the olive. It consists of a complex combination of fatty acids, chemically similar to the lipid composition of the skin's surface and has the ability to form liquid crystal structures within the emulsion, which mimic the organization of the stratum corneum. Olivem 1000 is incorporated into the fatty phase of the emulsion, melts at 70°C and is stable in the pH range 3-12, allowing the preparation of very soft and penetrating emulsions with perfect textures. Olivem 1000 is not just a functional component of an emulsion, on the contrary it is considered as an active ingredient in itself. It exhibits a remarkable ability to reduce moisture loss providing long-term skin hydration benefits. Usage rate: 3% for emulsions, 4% to 8% for creams. If a co-emulsifier is included, reduce the amount of Olivem 100 by the amount of secondary emulsifier. Very easy to use. No expensive equipment required. Suitable for all skin types.
