Sorbitol

It is often used in cosmetics to add emollient and moisturizing properties to creams, emulsions, body butters and lotions. In addition, it is used as a sweetener in various foods, soft drinks and medicines as well as in oral hygiene products.

It is particularly useful for making clear gels, as it enhances transparency in gel products. Its use in toothpaste is very widespread, as it adds a sweet taste and at the same time helps to keep the toothpaste moist and soft.

Recommended dosage from 3% to 10%.
