Because it is quite hard in its consistency, it is usually combined with other waxes, such as beeswax, to make it easier to work with.

Use it in a very small percentage in your cosmetics, if you want them to have a soft to medium consistency. A percentage of 0.5%-1.0% is enough to provide a glossy and stable finish.

It is suitable for thickening lipsticks, eyeliners, mascaras, eye shadows and other skin care products.

It melts at 82-86°C, a particularly high melting point for a natural wax. You can melt it together with other waxes, butters or oils, since it is completely oil-soluble.

It is kept well closed in a shady and dry environment for about 4 years.
