Common Ivy (Hedera Helix) is a species of flowering plant in the genus Ivy in the family Araliaceae, native to most of Europe and western Asia. A particularly hardy plant that tends to spread without human help, which has been used since ancient times for medicinal purposes.
The leaves of Common Ivy have a strong spasmolytic effect and are used to treat problems of the respiratory system, in cases of severe cough, bronchitis, spasms and bronchial asthma. It also significantly helps expel phlegm that accumulates in the respiratory system and is used as an ingredient in medicinal syrups.
To prepare a drink, add 1 teaspoon of dried leaves to a glass of cold water (boiled before) and leave for 4-5 hours at room temperature. Remove the leaves and consume the whole glass during the day (in 3-4 doses).
Herbs are and should be treated as medicines. We recommend that you always consult your doctor before using them.
