Glyceryl Stearate

Glyceryl stearate is created by the reaction of an alcohol and an acid and is an ideal ingredient for the preparation of Shampoos, Conditioners, Shower Gels, Moisture Creams, Lotions, Body Butters and Ointments. When used in combination with other emulsifiers it produces an excellent emulsion creating a particularly stable lotion, which acts as a lubricant on the surface of the skin preventing water loss and giving the skin a soft texture and beautiful appearance. In addition, it has the ability to make the oils combined in a cosmetic formulation non-greasy, allowing the production of creams and emulsions, which carry the properties of the oil without carrying its greasiness.
Recommended usage level: 0 - 6%. Maximum utilization level: 40%.
