Lemon Verbena essential oil

Lemon Verbena essential oil has a sweet, cool, fruity lemon scent. It is used in aromatherapy for depression, insomnia and stress and in massage for abdominal pain and indigestion, as it has antispasmodic properties. In addition, its use as an alternative antipyretic is considered beneficial.

On a psychological level, it promotes relaxation, reducing stress and improving mood. It combines very well with Neroli, Frankincense, Lavender, Basil, Lemon and all citrus oils.

"Aloysia Triphylia or Lemon Verbena, is a flowering perennial shrub of the Verbenaceae family, native to South America. It was brought to Europe by the Spanish and Portuguese in the 17th century and cultivated for its oil. Its leaves are pointed and slightly rough to the touch and give off a strong lemon scent. They are used dried in an aromatic decoction and in cooking sauces and drinks."
