Niaouli

Niaouli essential oil has an invigorating aroma characterized by sweet, cool top notes reminiscent of camphor and a light undertone reminiscent of eucalyptus. It is used in aromatherapy for cough, cold, fever, sore throat and respiratory problems.

In massage it is used for muscle relaxation after intense exercise and to promote good blood circulation. It is also recommended for problems with insomnia, anxiety and neuromuscular overexertion.

On the skin, it acts as an antiseptic and bactericide, contributing to the fight against skin inflammations, acne, burns and wounds. It is also particularly effective in relieving the feeling of heaviness in tired legs and varicose veins.

On a psychological level, it has a calming effect, removing nervous tension and facilitating sleep. It combines very well with Lavender, Orange, Basil, Eucalyptus, Lemon, Mandarin, Rosemary, Mint and Thyme.

"Niaouli with the official name Melaleuca Viridiflora is a small evergreen tree, of the Myrtaceae family, native to woodlands, marshes and streams in northern Australia and New Guinea. In traditional medicine, the leaves were used in a bath or inhaled to treat coughs, colds, congestion, headache, fever and flu."
