Polysorbate 20

The ingredient Polysorbate 20 (also known as Tween 20) is especially useful if you want to add fragrance or essential oils to water or some other base. If e.g. you want to add essential oils to a shampoo or if you want to make an essential oil spray, then Polysorbate 20 is the ideal ingredient to bind the ingredients together. The ratio of Polysorbate 20 that you should use is exactly the same as that of essential oils (for example, if the essential oils are in a ratio of 2% in the cosmetic you are making, then add 2% of the Polysorbate 20 ingredient as well).

Polysorbate 20 is ideal for use with essential and aromatic oils. If you wish to use thicker oils (eg base oils such as Almond Oil) then we recommend using Polysorbate 80. The Polysorbate 20 you will find in our shop is 100% pure and is made in Scotland under the strictest European standards.
