Polysorbate 80

The Polysorbate 80 ingredient is especially useful if you want to add base oils to a cosmetic. If for example you want to add almond oil to a shampoo or if you want to make a bath bomb or bath oil with base oils, then Polysorbate 80 is the ideal ingredient to bind the ingredients together. The ratio of Polysorbate 80 you should use is twice that of base oils.

For example, if the base oils are 2% in the cosmetic you are making, then add 4% of the Polysorbate 80 ingredient. Polysorbate 80 is ideal for use with base oils. If you wish to use lighter oils (eg essential oils) then we recommend using Polysorbate 20.
