Rosemary Essential Oil

Rosemary essential oil has a strong, woody aroma of camphor and possesses a wide range of remarkable natural, healing properties. In aromatherapy, it is used to stimulate the nervous system, while it is particularly effective as a memory aid. In the massage it relieves muscle pain, sciatica and neuralgia, relaxes and warms the muscles and joints, helping to avoid cramps and injuries. At the same time, it detoxifies the lymphatic system by relieving fluid retention and increasing blood flow per area, which makes it an excellent ingredient in anti-cellulite products. It is also an excellent tonic cosmetic for the scalp, as it acts as a stimulant in the hair follicles. Rosemary, also known as Arimari, with the scientific name Rosmarinus Officinalis, is an evergreen shrub, particularly aromatic, a member of the Lamiaceae family, endemic to the Mediterranean region. A well-known plant in antiquity, it was used in various religious ceremonies and celebrations, in the decoration of buildings, temples and as fuel for incense. A liquid is extracted from the leaves of the rosemary which is used in the preparation of medicine for rheumatism, for various mouth irritations as well as for coughs. Its flowers are preferred by bees and become a source for honey production.
