Thyme

Thyme essential oil contains thymol or thyme camphor, a substance with a strong antiseptic effect. This is why it is often used as the main ingredient in many commercial mouthwashes. In aromatherapy, thyme essential oil is used to treat colds, coughs, mucus secretions, infectious diseases and bronchitis2. When used during massage, it can relieve muscle pain by creating a feeling of warmth and relaxation. Its excellent antiseptic properties make it a popular choice for oily and acne-prone skin. On a psychological level, thyme essential oil is uplifting, stimulates memory and helps concentration. It combines well with Bergamot, Rosemary, Lemon, Lavender and Marjoram.
